<lj:music>Mamma Mia! - ABBA</lj:music>

So I decided maybe I should go into the business of making horror movies. People would love them... or really hate them.

What brought this on, you ask?

Well, when my dreams start turning into nightmares, I know I've been asleep too long (unless it's at night, then it doesn't count)
Take my most recent dream (Recent as in being I just got up from it)
I was in a play of some sort and there were all sorts of people in it that I went to high school with that wouldn't have been caught dead in a play. Some weird play that hasn't been written yet... I was an extra (as per usual) and things were going great until this girl, Kelsie who I knew growing up but we haven't talked since... we were like 12 or something, popped a inflatable swimming pool (Why we had one, I'm not sure). It started slowly leaking and got water all over me and this other girl (why water and not air? *shrugs*). So, me and this other girl, who I can't seem to pin down as who she is (she seems to be two people at once...), just kinda stand around on the stage with the bottoms of our pants soaking wet until Kelsie shows back up again with some swimming suits. Suddenly me and the shape-changing girl were wearing wet swimming suits, so we thanked Kelsie and went and changed into the dry swimming suits.
I think my cell phone may have gone off at this time, but I ignored it for more sleep. I think this because there is a curious gap in my dream and yet dream logic tells me it's the same day.
I was walking into a house with a bunch of people with cameras on their shoulders. We were interviewing this lady who appeared to be a cross between Octomom and Kate (of Jon&Kate +8 fame). All of the little chillens were running around, they appeared to be about two or three. Suddenly the camera (Apparently, now I'm filming... I blame having watched Blair Witch project a few days ago) pans around to the interviewer who has this terrified look on her face. She says something about the husband and how they "got it on camera" and the camera switches to the wife who looks to the ceiling and says, "Shh, he'll hear you." Suddenly, I somehow know that one of the kids is missing. The camera pans to the other interviewer who looks like the guy from What Not To Wear, but I know it isn't him. He says something, but apparently it wasn't important because I can't remember what he said. I walk (sseing things through the camera) up the stairs which were suddenly behind me.
I come up and this fat guy (but not like WAY fat, but normal American fat) is standing in the middle of the wooden floor in a circle of light. (I do not have the camera anymore) He is very dirty and smalls horrible. He is holding something in his arms. He turns and sees me and I see that it's the missing little boy and he's very obviously dead (I mean like missing eyes because the body is so rotten). "Isn't he cute?" The guy says. He says that he likes them this way, but he likes to keep them longer because there is something about six year olds. (said like someone would say it about a fine wine) The light circle widens and I see that there is a sort of conveyor belt with the top half of little boys stuck on plaques (like people do with deer heads and stuff). He picks the one he had before back up and turned him around so I can see his back is ripped open and there is nothing where the organs should be, but the rib cage. The guy turns to me and says something about remembering how old they are because every year he likes to take a piece of them. As he says this he rips off a piece of skin a little smaller than a credit card and eats it slowly savoring it.
That was when I realized I'd been asleep way too long and woke up.

So yeah, I really need to stop sleeping so long...

Um, yeah what the subject says...

So, nothing has happened (as per usual) that would give me cause to write about, but it is a new month so I should probably update and whatnot.

Halloween was pretty boring. I got dressed up and ended up going to a gas station to get some food. So the people at the gas station and the other students that saw me going from my room to my car and back again got to see my St. Trinians outfit (At this point in the night it did actually look like a St. Trinian's girl). Later, I got really bored and it ended up look more like a Malfoy whore... *shrugs* Oh well...

I started NaNoWriMo again this year... I have very little hopes of completing it (as I never have in all my years...) especially since it is the 5th day and I have 3,000 words at best...

Anywho, I had an awesome day Tuesday (besides bombing my French test anyway). We had an awesome discussion in my Shakespeare class (or at least it amused me greatly), I don't remember what it was about, but I enjoyed it. Later, I went to my French class and bombed my test, but I'm okay with that. Then I went to the cafe on campus, while she was taking my order the waitress told me I remind her of Christina Ricci (one of my very fav. actresses) which made my day. I took my food and went to help paint the scenes for the play. I enjoyed my food while listening to the wonderful Terrence Mann (my favorite singer). All in all it was a good day.

Wednesday wasn't so good. French sucked cheese. And I was too tired to really concentrate in my Classics of Western Lit class even though we are talking about The Inferno.

I didn't go to any of my classes today cause I didn't feel good and since I wouldn't be able to concentrate what would be the point of going? There wouldn't be. Exactly.

Anywho, I should work on my NaNo story, but I just can't seem to grasp my main character's personality anymore... I need to go read more evil!Lucius Malfoy stories... Ta ta!

<lj:music>No One Knows Who I Am - Linda Eder (Jekyll and Hyde)</lj:music>

I don't know why I'm posting... I have nothing to say... But I felt like I needed to post... Does that make sense?

SO I've started another fanfic (yes I know it's horrible of me, I should finish one before I start another one). It's a wrestling fanfic. After watching a months worth of Smackdown in one day, it tends to start the plot bunnies nibbling. I also read a bunch of wrestling fanfics so that gave them some more things to nibble on... One of the fanfics I read was a take on Rocky Horror Picture Show using wrestling characters. While I adored the story, I really wanted to try my hand at it and I wanted to use different characters. So, that would be the fanfic I'm working on (among others). I'm about halfway through so look for that soon... I will probably be posting it on here.

Um... Homecoming was this week... I don't think I actually did anything that had to do with homecoming... I went to this open mic thing, but it was really boring and I left after like a minute. I missed the homecoming game because I was napping and I've never gotten asked to the homecoming dance in my entire life. I don't mind though. I'm not big on dances...

I started watching Glee (on Fox). It's pretty good. I enjoy the random musical numbers they have... it makes me happy. I've also started watching FlashForward. I was surfing imdb and came upon Jack Davenport's page and saw that he was in it so I had to start watching. I loves me some JackDav. I've only seen the first two episodes of that (because hulu/any other site it was on was having issues), but it looked good what I've seen.

I made myself a hat and a matching pair of fingerless gloves on Friday/Saturday... is that weird? It didn't take me that long and I've had a ball of camo colored yarn that I didn't know what to do with for a while now.

I should probably do something productive. Like my homework or something. I'm bored out of my freaking mind. :P

So, I made myself a new layout last night. I quite enjoy it. I was getting tired of the blah brown. I'm not a huge fan of the color brown. It's just... I don't know... blah...

Anyway, this layout is of Dracula from the PC game Dracula: Origins. It's an awesome game. (Have we been over this before?) It follows the book fairly well (except for the random jaunt to Egypt... what's up with that?!) It's probably one of my top 3 favorite computer games ever. The quote on the header comes from the actual game. Drac says it to Mina.

I was going to do a layout of Dandy Dan from the movie Bugsy Malone, but I couldn't get everything how I wanted it so I bagged that idea. Maybe sometime later I will get it to work and use it, but probably not...

Um......

I should probably do something productive today... like go shopping so I have food to eat, but I really just want to go back to bed. Bed is good.
I guess I could work on some writing. I've made good progress with my Cutler Beckett memory loss (still no name) fic, I'm pretty excited about that.

Anywho, I'm off to pretend to do something more productive... Have a nice day! :D

So I was looking through one of the lj spotlight communities (color_theory, I'd give you the link by apparently LJ is hating me today) and thought I should post some of my random pictures I've taken. <lj:music>Chicks Dig It - Chris Cagel</lj:music>

So here is my Jedediah and Octavius fanmix: 89 Cents Worth of Chemicals. 17 songs. Under the cut is the songs individually and the lyrics why I chose that song. On a side note for those who care, I Can't Decide has a few swear words, probably rate it pg-13. If you want to know what they're about you should probably look up the lyrics.

In my mind, the songs alternate between Jed and Octy with Jed starting off with Chicks Dig It and ending with both for 'Til Him. I also tried to get them to follow the movies. I also tend to think that 7 and 8 happen in their heads. 9 is when Jed makes Octavius leave in NATM2. And the rest I think you can figure it out... or you can totally disregard everything I've said and just make up what you want...

</a>
Fanmix Cover
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E0R0CYWN

Fanmix Backcover
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6U49O5BR

01. Chicks Dig It by Chris Cagle
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7M8254WS
Scars heal... glory fades
And all we're left with are the memories made, oh yeah
Pain hurts, but only for a minute
Yeah life is short so go on and live it
Cause the chicks dig it

02. C'est Moi by Frances Nero
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5ZYR3LF6
Succeed where a less fantastic man would fail.
Climb a wall no one else can climb,
Cleave a dragon in record time,
Swim a moat in a coat of heavy iron mail.
No matter the pain, he ought to be unwinceable,
Impossible deeds should be his daily fare.
But where in the world
Is there in the world
A man so *extraordinaire*?
C'est moi! C'est moi, I'm forced to admit.
'Tis I, I humbly reply.
That mortal who
These marvels can do,
C'est moi, c'est moi, 'tis I.

03. I Can't Decide by Scissor Sisters
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HFSVRNAC
Oh I could throw you in the lake
Or feed you poisoned birthday cake
I wont deny I'm gonna miss you when you're gone
Oh I could bury you alive
But you might crawl out with a knife
And kill me when I'm sleeping
That's why
I can't decide
Whether you should live or die

04. <lj:music>Lie - David Cook</lj:music>

Well I made 21 icons... yes, 21. It was fun! Well... 20 of Night At the Museum and one of Steve Coogan. Not all of them are slashy! I'm quite proud of myself! :D I like most of them. Some of them I couldn't think up anything good to put on there so I just put what came to mind. Some of them I couldn't think of anything at all so I left them blank. If taking, comment and credit, I'd like to know which ones I did right... :D

<div style="width: 70%; margin: auto; Plus, someone either in chest_bump or on Deviant Art pointed out that in the first movie Jedediah (a COWBOY) imitates a line from Brokeback Mountain. "I wish I could quit you." is the original line. Jed says, "I ain't quittin' you."
So really, there is no reason to not ship these two.

So, I went and got myself a new layout. I read some NATM (Night at the Museum) fanfics and rewatched the movies. I decided that you need to watch them more than once to really enjoy them... Also-pretending there's relationships where they weren't written helps... :D

Anywho, so my new layout is of Jedediah and Octavius because I love them. Fear not, my fellow Cutlets! Becky still holds a place in my heart. I may change the layout soon anyway, I'm not entirely happy with it...

Yeah, so um, that was all... bye!!!

P.S. I will also be posting some icons/wallpapers of NATM/2 as soon as I get all of them done. My brother from another mother wanted to see them. Also, depending on when I get it done, there may be a Bugsy Malone fanfic posted soon.

    <lj:music>I'll Forget You - The Scarlet Pimpernel</lj:music>

So I have two more pictures to post. I would have a third, but I forgot to take my camera with me (again). It would have been of a cute little squirrel eating a nut. He was sitting up on a tree branch that had been cut off. It was pretty cute looking, but my phone takes crappy pictures. So, you only get these two.

So, this picture is me saying screw you to the people and sticking up the rest of my stuff anyway with tape. Two of Norrington, five of my friends/former roommates, a snape and Lucius comic, two comics from the news paper and one of fem!Beckett telling a good story. I don't remember who drew the snape one (that was back in my, I'm-not-sure-how-to-say-who-I-got-this-from-so-I-will-just-take-it stage). The Beckett one was drawn by ebOnyrOse.

This one actually looked a lot cooler in real life. The picture didn't come out so great, but I like it anyway.

Well, that's all with the pictures. Now, I want to tell you about this crazy dream I had the other afternoon. Yes, I was napping... I do that.

So, I was on a school campus. Not one I've ever seen before, but it kinda looked like the ones I've seen all mashed together. It was weird. Anyway, I was in my dorm room and looked off into the distance. There seemed to be some kind of... ruckus? going on. I'm always up for watching people doing stupid stuff, so I thought I would go down and take a look. Apparently, some band (not one that I know of in real life) had bought the house right next to the campus. I went down there because I wanted to meet them. They were a band I'd heard of and had a few songs, but they weren't my favorite. I walked down there and they were like, "oh, hi!" They introduced themselves (there were a few other guys there, but they weren't band members) and like the person I am, I promptly forgot their names. Cause I'm awesome like that. Anyway, so we played a few video games and I got to know one of them, the cute one in my opinion. All of a sudden, they were like, "Oh yeah, we have an obstacle course that you have to go through to get to our concert." Everyone was like, uh... okay... So, the band disappeared and we had to wander through the house, which now had a few baby elephants and a dozen or so capuchin monkeys. Once we got outside (the house had somehow moved quite a ways away from the school) we had to swim through a swamp filled with small turtles. After that there was something about mud (I forget, it was like two days ago). Once I got through the "obstacle course" (I was one of the only ones who made it), I got a monkey as a prize and the band member I got to know was like, "I knew you'd make it." Wink. And then I woke up.

All in all, a very odd dream... but then again most of the ones that I remember are. Also, I've been on a Scarlet Pimpernel kick for a while now (I heart Chauvelin), so don't be surprised if you see some icons or a wallpaper or a fanfic pop up.
I also want to apologize for my cutler_beckett fic exchange entry. I can't tell you who I wrote for or anything, but I think the story I wrote is pretty crappy. So yeah, sorry. Even though, they won't read my apology, I just wanted to get it out there.

<lj:music>Swords Crossed - POTC1</lj:music>

Well, I finally got my camera and some batteries. It took me a few days to remember that I had to buy some. As I have no car currently and my only way to get anywhere is by walking (which would be fine if I didn't live on a giant hill on a giant hill!!!) I had to buy them at the campus bookstore and I kept forgetting.

Anyway, I took a picture of the hill up to my room from campus and some of my dorm room.

This is the hill up to my dorm room. 55 steps plus a hill up to the steps. Now imagine almost double that and that's the hill the campus is on. Needless to say, I haven't been off campus on my own yet since I would have to walk.

My bed with it's neon green and purple sheets. The purple is actually a much more purple-y purple than the picture looks like. Yes, that is Sesshoumaru of Inuyasha fame. One of my bestest friends gave him to me when I was in high school.

Pictures that my niece and nephews (well one side of the family) colored for me and sent... and the bottom of my Harry Potter calendar. I was so excited that this calendar actually had some bad guys in it. It was awesome! Now, if I could only find a POTC calendar with Beckett...

My bulletin board. Alas I'm only allowed to put posters up on there. I can't even stick up posters on the wall with TAPE! What is that all about?
An MCR poster, a fuzzy poster I colored, a Labyrinth poster that says something about dreams, a Beckett chibi, a Captain Hook chibi, and in the very bottom left corner my homemade calendar currently showing Jason Isaacs. He's Mr. September.

My nightstand with Mostly Finished Bob, Matt Hardy action figure, my cell phone (not sure why that's there and not in my pocket...), my neon green army dudes and my Dresden Files book.

Since I have a private room, I have two more bulletin boards that I put one of my Charlie and the Chocolate factory posters on along with another calendar (yes, I have three... I'm OCD like that) and my whiteboard where I write funny quotes from time to time. The other bulletin board as my Twilight poster. Yes, I have one, but it has James (the bad guy) on it. If I wrote Twilight, James would have won and the Cullens and Bella would have died at the end of the first book. Not really a big Twilight fan needless to say. I just think James is hot.

Anyway, that's my dorm room. I've been trying to take pictures of like nature and stuff, but I keep forgetting my camera in my room. Anyway, I should get back to writing my Beckett fic for the fic exchange I was supposed to turn in on Sunday...

<lj:music>We Coulds Been Anything (Reprise) - Bugsy Malone</lj:music>

So I wrote this story sometime back in like March or April... I don't really remember... for my writing club I was in. They wanted a story that was different than the ones I'd been feeding them (my originals) and one that was finished completely. None of my original work is finished yet. So, I wrote this one. It's in second person, which may be slightly odd for some of you, but I find it for some reason to write in second person... I don't know why...
Anyway... onto the story!

TItle: Tasting Another's Bread
Author: ME! :D
Rating: PG?
Word Count: 4,197
Fandom: None - my own? It's an original in other words...
Author's Note: None... enjoy!

'TIS done -- but yesterday a King!
And arm'd with Kings to strive --
And now thou art a nameless thing:
So abject -- yet alive!
–Lord Byron

Tasting Another’s Bread

Everyday you walk past a house on your way to work. It’s a normal house. It matches every two story other house in the neighborhood; a small yard, a few bushes and trees scattered around, neatly trimmed grass, effectively painted in proper house colors with what you would call a white picket fence surrounding it. The only odd thing being that the curtains are always closed when you walk past. You chalk this up, however, to the owners being still asleep in the morning and everyone you know closes their curtains when it gets dark.
You’ve never seen anyone go into the house or out of it. You know that food is delivered every Saturday morning while you are out on your jog. The food is left on the front porch and by the time you come back around your route, it’s gone.
You’re curious about the house, but not enough to seriously check into it. It would take too much time out of your already packed days. So months turn into years and you never think to take the time to find out who lives in there until one day.

You are taking your daily walk to work past the mysterious house when you notice that one of the curtains on the bottom floor is open. It opens to a fairly large window that is about four feet by five feet and about a foot and a half off the floor. You don’t want to stop and appear nosy, but you can’t help but look in the window as you walk past. Inside you can see the living room of the house and beyond that the kitchen. Everything inside looks to be pretty modern and well kept. In fact, things are almost sparkly they are so clean.
You keep walking as you will be late for work and try to put the house out of your mind. It’s just like anyone else’s house, you tell yourself trying to remove it from your mind to focus on your work.

The next day, the curtains are again open and, unconsciously, you have gotten ready faster and left earlier than normal just to see if the curtains are open again. You look around before stopping to stare in the window. Everything is as it was yesterday. You stare for a few more minutes.
There are no pictures on the walls and no television as far as you can tell. You find this unusual, but shrug and tell yourself that not everyone is addicted to television. There is a wall of bookcases filled to bursting with books of every shape and size. It must be how the owners get their entertainment.
You are still trying to figure out what kind of person lives there when a face appears in the window. You jump and quickly walk away to hide your embarrassment at being caught staring in someone’s window.
You walk straight past the house the next few days, but nearly a week later, your curiosity gets the better of you and you stop once again to peer into the house slightly hoping the person will look out again.
You can’t remember if it’s a man or a woman, tall or short, fat or skinny. All you remember is dark hair and, if you’re honest with yourself, you can’t remember if that’s long or short.
As soon as you stop, the person comes to the window. You have to tense your muscles to keep from running away. It’s a man. He looks to be fairly short possibly five feet and a half. He is wearing a loose button up dark blue shirt and tan slacks. He has short auburn hair that curls slightly at the ends and bright blue eyes. He has thin lips and a Roman nose. He smiles at you, his teeth straight and white, and beckons you closer.
You look around and seeing no one else that he could be referring to, or that might see you, walk up to the window. The man behind the window seems friendly, but you stand a few feet from the window anyway.
“Hello,” he mouths to you and waves slightly.
“Hi,” you respond and wave back awkwardly.
“How are you?”
“Um, fine,” you respond uneasily. After all, you have never met or even seen this man before and you are standing in his front yard talking to him through a window.
“Good, good,” he says, standing with his hands behind his back.
You wonder why he makes no move to come outside. Wouldn’t it be easier than talking through the window? However, you think, maybe he has some horrible medical condition that prevents him from leaving his house and don’t say anything to him.
“Uh, how are you?” you ask.
“So very, very bored,” he says with a sardonic grin. “Where are you going?” He points at your briefcase and clothes.
“Work. I work at a corporation in town.”
“Cor-por-a-tion,” he says very slowly rolling the word over his tongue. “Ah, yes, corporation, as in Wal-Mart and the like.”
You nod and you get the feeling that this man doesn’t get out of his house much. You look at your watch and realize that if you don’t hurry, you are going to be late.
“Sorry, I have to go,” you say, turning around and leaving the man standing at the window. As you look back, you can see a look of sorrow on his face and he waves dejectedly.

The next day, Saturday, you notice the grocery truck on your way past on your weekly jog. As you come back around, the truck and food are gone and the man is back at the window. He smiles jovially and waves.
You wave back and, against your better judgment, walk over to talk to the man. He grins when he sees you walking over.
“How are you?” he asks.
“Pretty good, just out for my weekly jog. What about you? How are you?”
“Better than yesterday. I have acquired some new literature.”
“What kind?”
“A little of everything. Some military, I like to see the advances that have occurred since I was in the army.”
You nod. “That makes sense. What else did you get?”
The man shrugs. “Entertainment books with no real value. Such things like horror books and adventure books.”
“Sounds interesting to me,” you reply.
“And how many books have you read?” he asks with a smirk on his face. “I have read all the books you see in this room, plus the entire library upstairs and then some.” He smiles sadly. “When that’s all a person has to do, reading can get boring awfully quick.”
“I believe that,” you respond. “If I only had books to entertain myself, I would go insane.” You shift your weight trying to find a more comfortable way to stand.
“Would you care for a chair? I don’t believe there is one out there, but I might be able to have one out there tomorrow.”
“No, it’s fine. It’s better exercise for me. Stretches out my calves,” you lie.
The man nods. “What is your name?”
You tell him your name and he smiles. “What’s your name?”
“Lionel Ramolino,” he replies.
Your cell phone starts ringing and you take it out of your pocket. It’s your work. You hesitate in answering.
Lionel watches you curiously as if he hasn’t seen a cell phone that often. You talk to your co-worker that called and sigh. You hang up and turn back to the window.
“I’m sorry, Leo – you don’t mind if I call you Leo, do you?”
“Oh, no, please do.” He smiles again.
“I’m sorry, but I have to go. My work has gotten so busy that they need me to come in on my day off.”
He nods solemnly. “I know how that can be. The army used to call me out of my bed to leave my wife and young son.”
You file that bit of information at the back of your mind for further investigation tomorrow. “Well, I gotta go. See ya later.”
“Goodbye and good luck. Will I see you later?”
“I’ll come by tomorrow.” You smile and walk away, still very curious about the man, but at least you know his name.

You get up bright and early Sunday morning to talk to Leo. He is waiting at the window when you arrive.
“Good morning,” he says brightly.
“Good morning yourself,” you reply and notice he was as good as his word. There is a brand new comfy lawn chair next to the window. You sit down grateful for the chair as you intend on being there until you can figure everything out about Leo. Leo sits in his own chair inside the window.
“It took a bit of convincing, but I was able to secure you a seat.”
“Convince who? Your wife?”
He smiles sadly. “Oh, no. She’s been dead for many years.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know,” you say embarrassed.
“It’s quite alright. It was a long time ago. Also, I only married her for an heir.”
“Oh,” you reply unsure of what to say to that. The practice certainly isn’t unheard of, but it’s weird to hear someone come out and actually say it.
“So was it your son you had to convince about the chair?”
“No, he’s dead as well. I’m the only one left in my lineage.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.” You blush.
Leo laughs at your discomfort. “They’ve been dead for so long, I have only memories left.”
You nod still embarrassed.
“I had to convince your government to let me have a chair.”
“Why?”
“I’m under house arrest.”
“For what?” you ask despite your best attempts to keep it to yourself.
Leo smiles. “I believe that the official position was ‘enemy of the state’.”
“What did you do?” You are too curious now to keep your mouth shut.
“I was leader of an enemy nation that I wasn’t born in. I was ruler for quite some time until I was deposed and exiled. After I was buried to them, I returned to the country. Few remembered me and even fewer would listen. I wandered desperate and alone for years. Eventually, I washed up on your shores. Once your country realized who I was, I was put under house arrest and relocated here.”
“How long have you been under house arrest?” you ask.
He waves the question away. “Inconsequential. More years than I care to count.”
“Wow. I noticed that you don’t have a TV. Do you have any contact with the outside world?”
“You are the first person I have talked to in decades.”
“That sucks,” you respond.
“Quite,” he replied with a smile. “Everyone I come in contact with has been told not to talk to me as I am an insane man who will kill them if they look at me wrong.”
“That really sucks. Do you have access to the internet? Have you ever tried to escape?”
“No contact with the outside world, although part of that, I admit, is my own doing. Things have changed so much since I was free. I prefer to stick to my books.”
You nod again and wonder how old Leo is. He doesn’t look very old; mid to later forties perhaps. He must have been fairly young when he took charge of some nation that you assume you’ve never heard of.
“So have you tried to escape?”
“The first time I was captured, I tried to kill myself.”
You are startled. Leo sure doesn’t hide much.
“I drank some poison. I was not going to let them question me and I wanted to die a hero. Unfortunately, it only gave me the hiccups and I vomited it out. That’s when I first realized there was something wrong with me.”
“Something wrong with you?” you ask.
“It doesn’t matter anymore. Enough about me. I know all about me and I find myself boring. Tell me about your life.”
“It’s really not that interesting,” you try to dissuade Lionel.
“More interesting than me talking about my house arrest,” he points out.
“Not more than your life in the military or your life up to your house arrest… I mean, if you don’t mind talking about it that is…”
“I don’t mind. It’s simply nice to be able to talk to someone, but I still want to hear about your life. We shall execute a trade. You tell me about your life and I shall tell you about mine. Does that sound like a fair trade?”
“Well, I don’t think so.”
Leo smiles at you. “It is. Now, tell me all about your life.”
You heave a sigh and tell him about your life up to that point. You don’t leave out any details as you think that if you do, Leo will leave out details about his life. He nods along with you occasionally asking questions to clarify your story.
When you finish, night has fallen. Lionel quickly checks a clock behind him and stands up. “I’m sorry,” he says, “But I have to go.”
“But what about your life?” you whine.
He smiles softly. “I will start next time you come back to see me.”
“I can come by tomorrow at lunch. Do you care if I eat my lunch here?”
“Of course not, I would be happy for the company, but I must go.”
“I’m sorry. Don’t let me keep you.”
Lionel takes one more look at the clock, stands up and closes the curtains.

The next day, you are fidgety at work. When your lunch break comes, you are out the door as quick as possible. You grab something to eat on your way out of the city and jog to Lionel’s house.
He is sitting in his chair inside the window reading and you notice a patio umbrella over your chair outside.
He looks up when you walk inside the yard. “I had an umbrella installed for you. It looks to be fairly sunny outside and that generally means it’s hot.”
You can already feel yourself sweating inside your clothes. “Yes, it’s very hot outside,” you pause, “I assume, your house is air-conditioned?”
Lionel nods. “This is the most modern house that taxes can buy. It’s also very ‘green’, as your generation says it, or so I’m told. In my time we had environmentalists too, but most of them spent their time writing about nature instead of crusading for it.”
You laugh. “That’s what most people do now.”
Leo nods again. “I see. I don’t know what actually transpires beyond these walls. I only know what I read about in my books.”
You hesitate unsure if you want to ask him or not, but venture the question anyway. “How old are you?”
“64, at last count,” he responds.
“Wow, you’re old,” you say before you can stop yourself.
Leo laughs as you try to explain yourself.
“Uh, what I meant was that you don’t look to be that old. You look very young. You, uh—”
“I have aged quite well,” he pauses and looks thoughtful. “Quite well…”
You sit in the chair and take out your fast food.
“That will kill you,” Leo says.
“I know, but it tastes so good.” You take a huge bite of your hamburger.
Leo smiles. “I’ve never had a French fry.”
You barely stop your mouth from falling open and the food falling out. “What?”
“I was taken into house arrest before they became popular.”
“What? I’m fairly certain that fries have been popular since they were invented in like the 1800s. So, that doesn’t make sense with your age.”
“You’re correct. I apologize, but I still have never eaten one.”
“Well, you’re missing out, ‘cause fries rock.”
“I assume so because everyone seems to eat them.”
“Wait, why can’t you have fries in there?”
“I’m only allowed healthy food. No greasy or spicy foods.”
“That sucks.”
“Very. Now, what would you like to know about me?”
“Everything. Who was your wife? Who was your son? What country did you run?”
“Which wife? The one I loved or the one who bore me a son,” Lionel asked.
“Either or both.”
“The one I loved was, Joséphine de Beauharnais, whose husband was killed during the revolution I fought in. She was six years my senior. While we both had many lovers, we always only loved each other.”
That’s romantic in a twisted kind of way, you think
“I divorced her when it became apparent that she could not bear me any sons. I was devastated, but I knew what my duty was. The next woman I married, Marie Louise, was twenty-two years my junior. It wasn’t long into our marriage that she bore me a son. I wanted more, but this was a very turbulent time in my career and we were not able to produce any more.”
“That’s sad.”
Leo’s eyes had taken on a faraway look and he snaps out of his reverie to look at you and you realize that you should just let him talk.
“Start at the beginning. Where were you born?”
“Ajaccio, Corsica, to a noble family. When I was young, I was sent to a military school in a foreign country. I worked hard to learn the new language, my original being Italian, but I was still ridiculed for my accent. While this would discourage some people, it only invigorated me and I excelled at all of my subjects.
“After graduating, I was accepted into a prestigious military college and began training to be an artillery officer, despite being more adept at naval. Upon this graduation, I was given the rank of second lieutenant.
“A revolution had broken out at this time and I carefully adhered myself to the winning side. I was given command of the forces at a city occupied by a foreign power and after driving them from the city, I was promoted to Brigadier General.
“Unfortunately, while the revolution was going on, I had chosen the correct side, but as it began to wind down, it lost power and I was imprisoned. I was released not ten days later, but remained on the wrong side. I was passed around, demoted, until the side I had been against in the revolution remembered my military exploits and gave me command of a handful of soldiers. I successfully repelled any and all attacks against the area I was given command of.
“Suddenly, I was everyone’s favorite person. I was promoted to Commander of the Interior and given my own army. It was during this time that I met, my love, Joséphine. I married her not long after.
“The next few years, I spent in battle. I traveled far and wide, but whispers reached me of dissension in my country. I quickly journeyed home. I worked with a few allies and became First Consul. I sold off a major chunk of the empire to a foreign country for very little as I knew it would be extremely difficult to defend.
“My power continued to grow and I helped to draft a constitution that named me First Consul for life. I, then, made myself supreme ruler over the country.
“It was five years after my coronation that I married Marie Louise. I was excommunicated from the church and proceeded to imprison the leader of the church.
“All my life, I had heard of a nearby country that was unconquerable. I had had so many victories and so few losses that I assumed I would win. I proceeded to this country and while, technically, I did win, I count it as a loss. Too many of my soldiers died to count it as a success and there were whisperings of a new leader for my country so I hurried back.
“I enjoyed a peaceful life for a number of years, but peace didn’t suit me then. I was anxious and tried to take over the enemy country once again. I was soundly defeated and forced to abdicate. It was at this time, I attempted to commit suicide to no avail. I tried to leave the country to my son, but the dissenters refused and I was exiled to an island.
“I stewed on my island and waited for my chance to escape. When the time came, I took it readily. I was met on the shore by some of my former troops. I walked up to them unmistakably within gunshot range and told them that if they felt they needed to, to kill me. There are two clear reasons I did this. I knew they would never shoot their beloved general and I was beginning to believe I was immortal.
“They marched with me to the capital where I reigned for one hundred days. However, in hindsight, I should have seen that the country was done with me and stayed on my island. I was soon forced off the throne again and after contemplating escape to the Americas, I surrendered.
“I was exiled again, this time to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. I lived on that godforsaken island for near ten years. The only pleasure I obtained was shooting the neighbors’ wandering chickens. Needless to say, this did not endear me to them. Once I was dead and buried to my counterparts, I set out in a boat I had created. I landed in the Angola province of Africa. I journeyed to my country to make my triumphant return only to be disappointed when few people remembered me and even fewer cared.
“I wandered around the world the next few years. I washed up on the shores of North Carolina, where I was captured and taken to Washington D.C. Your senators could not decide what to do with me and I was carted off to southern Nevada where I lived until being moved here.”
You have sat entranced by Lionel’s tale and realize that all of your fries are now cold. “Wow. Your life is definitely more exciting than mine. Did you really do all those things?”
Nodding, Lionel says, “I have been called a genius and my military accomp-lishments are studied around the world. However, I was also once told that my laugh sounded like a ventriloquist’s doll and parents used to tell their children that I ate naughty people.”
You laugh. “Yeah, definitely more exciting than mine. You must have changed a lot in your days of house arrest.”
“Yes, being alone all the time gives a person a chance to take a look at their life and see what it is they have accomplished and what they still need to. I have become a more jovial and hospitable person.”
“I bet,” you reply and happen to glance at your watch. You are late!
Lionel watches you and smiles sadly. “I’ve kept you too long. You are late. You should go.”
You stand up. “Yeah, I’m sorry. I’ll try to come over after work, but I gotta go. See ya.” You grab your food wrappers and run off down the street.
“I can only hope so,” Lionel says as he watches your receding figure.

At work, which, as always, is boring, you decide to look up Lionel’s story. If he’s telling the truth about his life, why haven’t you heard of him before? You type in a few key phrases you remember from his story and wait. The results are quite surprising and at first you don’t believe your eyes, but as you look up the facts, you come to realize that you are correct. Lionel can’t be his real name.
You are kept late at work and don’t get back to see your new friend. The next morning, you rush over. A man is outside and he waves to you. He is a little taller than Lionel with dark curly brown hair. He has an athletic build and a movie star face. He limps on his right leg and you notice he uses a cane as he walks to the fence.
The lawn chair and umbrella are gone. The house is painted a different color and has different curtains.
You walk up to the man who clearly isn’t Lionel. “Do you know where Lionel Ramolino is?”
“The previous owner? No, my girlfriend and I just moved in yesterday. His real estate agents didn’t tell us where he was moving or leave a forwarding address. Why?”
“Just wondering. He was my friend and forgot to tell me where he was going.”
“Apparently not very good friends, eh?” the man says. “If I get anything for you – what’s your name?”
You tell him your name with a sigh. Why would the government have moved him?
“Well, if I get anything for you in the mail, I’ll be sure to forward it to you.” The man held out his right hand, which you notice has slight ink stains on it. “By the way, I’m George Gight.”

Have fun reading! Sorry, I'm listening to the Bugsy Malone soundtrack. I love that movie! No new news... sorry... Oh... wait, I made two new "videos" of sorts on youtube under ArieiDelmonte. Someday I will post them on here... you should watch my Viva La Vida one... it's my favorite.

Well, since I'm all settled into my new apartment, I thought I would give everyone an update.

I'm now settled in Virginia. It's much different from the Utah I'm used to. First off, every time I go outside I feel like I've just stepped out of the shower. My hair is doing things I didn't know it could do. :P I also think I've gotten more exercise for the past two days than in my entire life. My apartment is on a tall tall hill. There are probably 75+ stairs from campus to my apartment. Plus, the campus is on a down hill slant from there. So my favorite place, the library, is almost a half a mile down hill from my apartment.

It's very beautiful here, for all the strange things it's doing to my hair. If I had my camera (which seems to have gone missing) I would take pictures of everything. I'm almost done with orientation (even though I'm a transfer, I had to take it. Sucks. I had to get up at 6 this morning to go to a ceremony) I haven't seen any cute boys here yet (it's mostly freshmen anyway), but I have seen some interesting ones. Two of them are in my orientation group. One's pretty short, Andy, and very hyper. The other, Ed, has an awesome name and very nice cheek bones, but other than that neither of them have much going for them in the cuteness to me department.

I'm pretty psyched for my classics of Western Lit. class. We are reading some awesome books, The Inferno being the one I'm looking forward to the most.

Anywho, drop me a comment sometime. I'm off to nap or try to think up a plot/anything for the fic I'm supposed to be writing for the cutler_beckett fic exchange.

Ta ta!
However, since it's been over a month I thought I would post some updates.
Boys. In the field of boys, there is nothing. Really I mean it. Absolutely nothing. The only boy I talk to on a regular basis (sorta) is in Alaska mining for gold... yeah I know, I really need to get a life.
School. I've got everything nearly done for school. I still have to pack and whatnot, but I figure that can wait until like mid-August or something. I get the private room I wanted - which makes me extremely happy!
Writing. I haven't really done much of anything because I've been working. I write a little bit on Sundays, but not much to talk about.
Hmm... randomness... I got myself a new "Bob" because the other one was made of styrofoam. I call the old Bob - ProtoBob! I'm almost done carving the runes on New!Bob's face. I still need to do the rest of the skull and then put stain in them so they will stand out more.
The main reason I'm posting is because I got myself a new layout. I made it, it's awesome. I decided to go with Cutler because I'm trying to go back to my "roots"... okay not really. I just wanted to. I couldn't decided whether I wanted to do a Cutler layout or a Tom Hollander layout... It was a very difficult decision, but eventually I decided on j ust Cutler.
So Yeah, there's my life lately... yeah, it's boring... get your own.

I think it is....

Um... yeah...

I have no life, except work. Okay, fine, technically, I should be out "western swinging" tonight, but really, Western Swing? No thank you.

Um, no real updates.... nothing. I've been working on my original stories a little bit as well as some wrestling fanfiction. (Fanfiction is a way to get all the completely crappy writing out of the system because really, most fanfiction is really crappy). I made some new wallpapers of my game I got for Christmas called Dracula:Origins. They are pretty cool... maybe I'll post them sometime. (Probably not because I won't remember.) I made some cool fingerless gloves (sorta) I only have the left hand of three pairs done though (how sad is that?) I have almost all the way passed off Kingdom Hearts. I'm thinking about getting the second one (it has POTC in it). I need a new wrestling game because mine has gone all crazy and it makes me cry...

Uh... so yeah... I think that's all I can make up to tell you. There isn't that much going on in my life at the moment. It's sad.

Ta ta!

I keep hoping he'll beat John Cena, but Cena's the new Stone Cold, so that's not going to happen.
3. Lord Byron Freaking amazing! And incredibly interesting!!!
4. Napoleon Bonaparte Also freakin' amazing! It's awesome.
5.Mikie and Fantasy Wrestling These two have to go together because I couldn't have fantasy wrestling without Mikie. I have my own roster and game and it's just freakin awesome.
6. Wrestling Fanfiction *looks at others on list* Wow... seems it was wrestling semester. I just love me some "ecstasy" fanfiction (btw, that is probably not what you think it means, but I'm not going to explain it. ^.^)
7. Writing Club I have a writing club that I'm in that I go to every Wednesday.
8. Homework because it's boring.
9. Laptops These are on here because I can do some much with my laptop and it's awesome... I think I've made like 10 or more wallpapers this year. Yeah...
10. Video Games/Facebook What can I say, they are just so much more interesting than my homework.

Also, I have a new background and whatnot so I thought I would post the picture.
Yeah... yeah...
These are pictures of Williamsburg.

The first thing we did in Williamsburg was go to the court. They had a court case. My dad and I were lawyers and everyone next to the dude in the black (head judge) were other judges. The guy with the paper was the clerk and the fourth picture is a picture of the only cute guy I saw all week. I don't know what his name is or anything, but he was cute.

Obviously we next went to the... guard place... I forget what it's called... It was pretty cool and those were the first red coats that I saw. I was pretty excited. Reminded me of Colonel Tavington of the Green Dragoons.

These are pictures from the courthouse. There was a lot of history that happened here. I don't remember most of it. The guy talking about it was very monotone.

The gaol (jail) it was pretty cool. I really liked it. Blackbeard and his crew were kept in this prison.

The only redcoat I saw all day! I was very disappointed. I almost ran after him and begged him for a picture, but I didn't... obviously. The next picture is of the Governor's Mansion... we didn't go inside it.

The last pictures I have are of the Smithsonian Institute of American History and they aren't very cool, so... Yeah I'm not going to post them...

Anywho, that's my vacation over Spring Break. Have a nice day!

Here is the second day of the trip which was Sunday.

A picture of me and my mom outside the Metro Center on top of the tour bus we rode. It was like the British double decker buses. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

Pictures of the Metro Center. The first one is of the Columbus Statue in front, it was pretty cool. The second picture is of the six statues on top. The two statues are of the fire and electricity. I forgot what they are supposed to mean.

These are of the Capital building. The picture of me is like the 200th picture I tried to get of me and the building, which is why I don't look very happy. I took a picture of the sign because I thought it was cool that I was there while they were doing work on the lawn and whatnot. Although, they could do that all the time, I don't know. It's my first time.

The first picture is of the Smithsonian Castle. We didn't go there. I don't know what's in there. The second is of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The third is of a sculpture that I don't remember where it is. The fourth is of a car that was completely covered with pictures of the flag. I don't know who was in it or whatnot, but I thought it was interesting.

The next pictures might seem a little weird. We had stopped to eat, but I wasn't hungry, so I got a bottle of water and found a squirrel. I've never seen a squirrel in real life so this was a new experience for me.

I also took a video of the squirrel jumping around from the benches and stuff. It was fun following the squirrel outside of the Jefferson Memorial while my parents finished eating.

     Pictures of the Jefferson Memorial.

I just realized I have a lot of pictures of buildings that I have no idea what they are of... :D The second picture is of the National Archives Building, but I don't know what the first is.

This is some fancy schmancy hotel where celebrities and rich people stay. It was pretty cool looking.

Ah, Arlington Cemetery. Ya know, I don't see why people like cemeteries. THEY ARE DEAD! DEAD! ... Anyway, The first picture is of the eternal flame at JFK's grave, that was pretty cool. The second picture is of a random rusty cannon. I assume it was copper originally. The third picture is of the Unknown Soldiers. An unknown soldier from every war except Vietnam on (there used to be a Vietnam in there, but they did DNA testing and found out who he is) is buried there. The fourth picture is of the ampetheather that I don't know what they use it for.

These pictures are of the "Changing of the Guard" which, and I don't care who knows this or thinks I'm un-patriotic or whatnot, is the most pompous and unnecessary ceremony ever! I have like 5 pictures of it because that's how freaking long it was and they walked funny and spoke funny. They only cool thing was their shoes (which were also funny) because every time they stopped moving they clicked their heels together (in a funny way) and had little metal things in the heels. They were kinda like sideways tap shoes. My mother loved Arlington... :P

A replication of the Hindinburg and THE original Wright Brother's plane. These were taken at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It was pretty cool.

Sometime during this day (I forget when) we went to the International Spy Museum. It was my favorite place we have been so far. My parents weren't all that excited about it, but I liked it. :D I got a new identity... Angelena Falcone, 21, from Italy. I was going to Hanoi, Vietnam on business as a travel agent. I don't remember the reason and I can't spell or say the name of the guy I was meeting there since he was Vietnamese. I got two rubber bracelets there. One is yellow and says, "I lie for a living" and the other is purple and says, "Not just a pretty face." I am probably going to buy a hoodie off the internet from the store because I really wanted it, but my parents were in a hurry. I don't have any pictures from it because we weren't allowed to take pictures, but let me tell you, it was pretty awesome.

One of the freakin' original Magan Carta's! I think I was more excited to see this than the original declaration or constitution...

The original declaration and constitution. You couldn't read either of them. Also, the movie National Treasure is so wrong. It's very dark in there and the only guards are around the Constitution and the declaration does not have little temperature stuff in it.

The Louisiana Purchase document. I was pretty excited to see this too. I tried to see if it had Napoleon Bonaparte's signature on it, but people kept pushing me on, so I didn't get to check very hard.

So that is the good pictures that I took from that day. So apparently, these pictures are actually from two days... The spy museum and tour bus stuff are from Sunday. The Air and Space and National Archives are from Monday. Today, we were going to go to Montecello (where Jefferson lived) and some other place like that, but none of us felt very good so we just lounged around the hotel all day. Wait, this morning we went to Buena Vista to get everything okayed for my school stuff. All in all a very productive Tuesday... ;D

More pictures probably tomorrow where we are going to Montecello (and the other one) and then Jamestown. I'm pretty stoked about that. Jamestown! YAY! First

Now I know I didn't tell any of you that I was going on a trip, but I'm in Washington D.C. with my parents... at least I was... I'm in Lexington Virginia now, but for the first couple of days that's where I was. I took a lot of pictures, so here they are.

My parents waiting for the shuttle to take us to the rental car place.

Me (I don't take very good pictures of myself) at the airport in D.C.

The GPS thingy we got with the car. It's pretty freaking awesome.

Picture looking at the floor from my 10th story room.

My first ride on the metro. This picture is as it was leaving once I had gotten off.

First picture is of my metro ticket and the above picture is of the ascent from Hell. You should see the Rosslyn Metro Station. It was so steep!

Pictures of the Washington Monument. The first is of the evil eyes on the top... >:D The second is taking a picture from the bottom up. It's huge!

The Lincoln Memorial.... Weird that this is the Lincoln Memorial, but it's the Washington Monument... Weird...

My shadow in the lamplight and a soldier in the Korean War Memorial. That is the most creepy memorial ever! Although, I saw it in the dark, so...

The picture of the capital from the Washington Monument area. It was still very far away which is why it's all blurry and whatnot.

Well, that was the first day I was there. I will upload the next day possibly tomorrow. See you then! :D

<lj:music>Schadenfreude by Avenue Q</lj:music>

So here I am in my room (like always) listening to Avenue Q songs and most of my roommates are downstairs on a group date making doughnuts. Since I'm not in the dating class that they are, I'm not on a date. My other roommates that aren't on dates either left to go do something and didn't tell me. So I don't want to go down there and be like "HI! INCLUDE ME!" cause that would be weird. But I don't want to sit up here either... It's like choosing between the lesser of two weevils.

I made a new notebook cover today... yeah it was today because I made it at like 3 in the morning when I should have been either sleeping or studying for my test today.I only missed one point on my test though so it was all good. The cover is of Lord Byron (who I ADORE!)....
Here it is..

The quotes on it were either written by Byron, said by Byron or said about Byron. I enjoy it and other people think it's cool.

Um...HI!!!

Bored again... Well I can't seem to think of anything to ramble about anymore, so I'm going to sign off...

I just noticed that my sister tagged me in a thingy so I will do that...

5 THINGS-

5 things you were doing 5 years ago:
1. Going with the high school band to San Francisco
2. Crushing on Tyler Richardson
3. "dating" Reagan Marcotte
4. Staying away from Michael Eastman
5. Being a Freshie

5 things on my to do list today:
1. Finish my Napoleon project
2. Transfer my story from one notebook to another
3. Pack for my trip to Cedar
4. Write more in my Original Stories
5. Possibly sleep, but really, who needs it?

5 things I would do with 1 million dollars
1. Pay tithing
2. Go on a European Trip with myself
3. Buy a really expensive car
4. Go to Broadway shows
5. Think about giving some to my family

5 places I have lived:
1. Ephraim
2. Ephraim
3. Ephraim
4. Ephraim
5. Ephraim... wow I've lived a lot of places....

5 jobs that I have held:
1. Office cleaner/Filer/Scanner at CUT
2. Teenager
3. Fat Jacks waitress
4. Problem Sounding Board for EVERYONE!
5. Babysitter

5 things I want to be doing in 5 years:
1. Having Graduated College
2. Possibly be married to my millionaire
3. Not Working
4. Signing autographs for my amazing books
5. Buying a house in Italy, England or France

5 people I tag
1. Anyone
2. Anyone
3. Anyone
4. Anyone
5. No one

There I did it... I'm still bored...
<lj:music>Fantasies Come True - Avenue Q</lj:music>

Yeah I know... the Sweeney Todd one didn't last very long... But I have become enamoured with the musical Avenue Q. So this layout is dedicated to Rod from Avenue Q. You can't really see the background (at all... I'm a little sad about that...), but it is of Rod and his puppeteer John Tartaglia. I heart John, unfortunately for me, he's gay and I'm not a guy, so that's a problem... :D

I decided to put the background up here...

Anyway, I have nothing going on in my life except school and work. Uh, I got registered for my classes next year in Virginia. I'm a little excited about that. I have to raise an extra $600 though for a private room. I'm not good with the sharing. It was bugging me tonight to even have my roommate just laying on my floor. She was just laying there texting someone. It was annoying... yeah, I don't share and I'm territorial... not good for having roommates.

Uh, no boy news. Wish I had some...

I have writing like two original stories now. It's pretty cool. I enjoy them. Mostly just because of my character Cal (He's the bad guy and I love him). I submitted a short story (very short 1200 words) to the literary magazine here at Snow. I won't know if I won the contest thing or whatever until April. I'll probably forget until then when it comes out and then my friends will be like, "GO SEE! GO SEE!" Then I will run and see and I will probably be disappointed. It wasn't a very good story. It was hard to introduce characters and a plot in 1200 words. I'm writing a few fanfics. Maybe I will post them.

*le sigh* Have a loverly day! or Night! or Whatever!... :D
